North Coast Opportunities, Inc. (NCO) is a Community Action Agency that serves Lake and Mendocino Counties, as well as parts of Humboldt, Sonoma, Del Norte, and Solano Counties. NCO was established in 1968 as part of President Johnson's War on Poverty, with the mission of assisting low-income and disadvantaged people to become self-reliant.
Noyo Food Forest is a 501(c)3 non-profit outdoor education center on the Mendocino Coast, serving their community with student intern and farm-to-school programs. Their learning garden, located on the Fort Bragg high school campus, includes three greenhouses and a shade house.
The Honey Hive of Mendocino is an evolutionary tool share for sound health. A source for Intuitive Drum Song, an ancient practice of women frame drummers connected to the Bees!
